How to Find the Right Hairstylist
Getting into a new relationship is an exciting time - especially a new relationship with a new hairstylist that suits you. It’s extremely important that you can trust your hairstylist and have a good connection. Whether you are moving to a new area or going through a hair breakup, here are some tips on how to find the right hairstylist for you.
Word of mouth. Ask your friends and coworkers who style their hair. You can always trust someone who has great hair! Make sure to tell your new hairstylist who referred you.
Book a blowout. If you're dying to try out a salon but don’t want to make a full commitment yet - book a blowout appointment. You can get a feel and talk to their stylists there for your needs and decide if it’s the best fit. Add in a conditioning treatment as well!
Favorite products. Ask around and call salons if you have a favorite professional salon product you like to use. Most of the salon brands have a salon locator on their website to see which salon in your area carries that specific brand.
Research. If you’re changing salons - look up the salon on their website, yelp and social media pages. You can see what other happy customers are saying about the salon and about their favorite stylists. Their pages will also forward you to their stylist pages so you can view their work and see if any other the hair colors and cuts interest you.
Ask the right questions. Credentials are important and asking the right questions that suit your needs before getting in the chair. Get to know the stylist - what are their strengths, how many years have they been in the profession, what is their passion.
